Obtaining An MHPCC Account

Introduction

Before filling out an account application, users must first review system access requirements, and determine which account application form to use. MHPCC offers accounts on the Mana system.

Review Access Requirements to MHPCC Systems

Users who will process data on Mana must first meet Uniform Use-Access requirements before gaining access to that system. Access will be granted if the user has either an active Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of Energy (DoE) security clearance or National Agency Check (NAC). Interim access can be granted to U.S. citizens upon receipt of a completed NAC application. Foreign Nationals must wait for a favorable completion of their NAC before access to these systems can be granted.

Determine Which Account Form You Require

If your work is sponsored by the Department of Defense and is funded under 6.1, 6.2, 6.3a or 6.5 funding sources (research, development, testing and evaluation), you may be able to obtain your account through the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). Refer to the DoD account application and eligibility requirements located at http://www.hpcmo.hpc.mil/Htdocs/Forms/application-form.html to determine if you meet the criteria for an account through the HPCMP.

If your work is not funded through the DoD under 6.1, 6.2, 6.3a or 6.5 funding sources, and consequently does not meet the requirements for an account through the HPCMP, you must use the following account processing steps to obtain an account directly from MHPCC:

1. Read the Account Request Form General Information at http://www.mhpcc.hpc.mil/forms/account.info.html.
2. Read the Account Request Instructions located at http://www.mhpcc.hpc.mil/forms/account.instructions.html.
3. Use the online version of the Account Application form located at https://www.mhpcc.hpc.mil/forms/account_request.html. You can also contact the MHPCC to request that a form be mailed, faxed, or emailed to you. See the address information below to contact MHPCC.
4. Complete the form, being sure to answer all applicable questions. Also, be certain to include your email address on the form. You might find the Application Form Tips located at http://www.mhpcc.hpc.mil/forms/application.form.tips.html helpful in answering some of your questions.
5. Submit the online form or fax, mail, or email the completed hard copy form to:
